At D&D Aviation we offer exceptional training to the highest of standards in the Robinson R22 Beta II and R44.

We have been training in Robinson Helicopters since 1983, longer than any other local helicopter training facility. Ask about our incomparable accident-free safety record.
   Flight times are Based on the FAA minimum hour requirements. The average student will exceed the minimums.

   Books, FAA Medical Exam, Written Exam and FAA Checkride examiner's fee is not included .

  
PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE
FAA MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Obtain a third class medical certificate 
Pass an FAA written examination

Obtain a minimum of:

40 hours flight time
30 hours dual instruction
10 hours solo Pass a FAA oral and flight test


COSTS BASED ON MINIMUM TIMES:

30 Hours Dual in R22 @ 240.00hr
10 Hours Solo in R22 @ 200.00hr
30 Hours Ground        @ 35.00hr

Total Cost = $10,250.00


CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR
FAA MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Obtain a second class medical certificate
  Pass an FAA written examination

   Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate
  Obtain necessary dual instruction
   and ground training until the standards are met.
  Pass a FAA oral and flight test



COSTS BASED ON MINIMUM TIMES:
* After obtaining Commercial Helicopter Rating
15 Hours Dual in R22 @ 240.00hr
25 Hours Ground        @ 35.00hr

Total Cost $4,475.00


CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR INSTRUMENT
FAA MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Obtain a second class medical certificate
  Hold a Certified Flight Instructor Rating
  Hold an FAA Instrument Rating (Helicopter)
  Pass an FAA written examination
  Pass an FAA oral and flight test
  Obtain necessary dual instruction until FAA standards are met


COSTS BASED ON MINIMUM TIMES:
* Flight Time in the R44 IFR Raven
10 Hours Dual     @ 550.00hr
25 Hours Ground @ 35.00hr

Total Cost = $6,375.00

Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Program *
* Flight Time in the R44 IFR Raven        

Dual Instruction: 5 Hours        
ATP Ground Training: 6 Hours
Helicopter Rental for ATP Practical Flight Test (Checkride)
FAA Practical ATP Flight Test (Examiner's Fee)


COSTS BASED ON MINIMUM TIMES:
5 Hours Dual Instruction (Average)         @ 550.00hr        
6 Hours ATP Ground Training: 6 Hours   @35.00hr

10 Hours IFR in R22          @ 240.00hr
90 Hours PIC/Solo in R22  @ 200.00hr
30 Hours Ground               @ 35.00hr

INSTRUMENT HELICOPTER RATING

Obtain a third class medical certificate
Pass an FAA written examination
Hold a Private Pilot Certificate with:
50 Hours X-C PIC40 Hours Actual/Simulated Training in Category
Pass an FAA oral and flight test

10 Hours Dual in the R22          @ 240.00hr
30 Hours Dual in the IFR R44
  @ 550.00hr
25 Hours Ground                      @ 35.00hr
